“Be loyal to what matters.”
“I gave you all I had… I did…”
“We’re more ghosts than people.”
“In the end, I tried. I did.”
“We’re thieves, in a world that don’t want us no more.”
So this handsome boy represents Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption II. AKA: my biggest comfort character ever, alongside Tony Stark. I got RDR2 for Christmas 2019 but I started it on 1/10/20, and finished it on 1/18/20 (by finished I mean the main story missions). It absolutely shattered me into pieces! Felt like I was watching a movie, almost. I cried like a baby.
I still can’t believe Arthur died. That… really got to me, especially because my comfort characters are some of the only things that help me cope with my PTSD. I have some simple joys in playing the game again and writing/reading fics, but it’s going to take a long time for me to get through. (It took me almost 3 months to get over Tony Stark’s death.) I guess it’s a little absurd to get so attached to fictional characters but it’s the way I get through things. :")
I love Arthur, though, with my entire heart. It’s not often I fall for a character so fast. I figured this boy would be perfect to represent him :")
Arthur Morgan, in the game, is incredibly loyal to his family (the Van der Linde gang) regardless of whether or not you play high honor or low honor. He’s shown to be willing to sacrifice his life for his family on many different occasions. It disheartens him to see his gang fall apart slowly through the course of the game, and he frequently comments on it to NPCs throughout the game.
He’s also an honest man, even if the way he makes money isn’t so honest. He sees the world for the bitter truth that it is, and isn’t afraid to speak his mind.
