I have warmer undertones, so I can’t really help with good cool-toned foundations, but I can give some recommendations for other things you might like!

For primers, I really only like three: Tatcha Silk Canvas, Smashbox Photo Finish, and the Elf Poreless Putty primer. The Tatcha primer is the most expensive, but I’ve found it gives my skin a very smooth base for applying most foundations. The Smashbox Photo Finish is a silicone based primer, so if your skin has issues with silicone I probably wouldn’t recommend it! If your skin does fine with it, though, then it’s great for filling in pores. I usually only use it in my t-zone. The Elf primer is a fairly good dupe for the Tatcha primer, and I tend to use this one the most, actually. I recommend putting it on with a brush, though, because it’s really easy to use too much of this one. It doesn’t fill all my pores, but it does leave me with a smooth base for both liquid and powder foundations.

For concealers, my favorite is probably the Nars Radiant Creamy concealer. I prefer to have a more luminous under-eye, because underneath the eye is where I can look the driest if I use a matte concealer. You do have to set this concealer, though, so if your under eyes don’t do well with setting powders (mine hate loose powders, so I have to use pressed powders mostly), I’d recommend looking into the Rimmel Stay Matte powder. I used to use the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer a lot, but I’ve honestly found that the shade range just isn’t good. If you have lighter skin, the shade range runs more yellow and probably wouldn’t work for you!

For eyeliner, I currently use the KatVonD Tattoo Liner, but I bought this before a lot of people stopped supporting her brand, including myself. I wouldn’t recommend buying it unless you don’t care about all the ethical issues she’s been on blast for. I think eyeliner really depends on what you’re looking for. Do you want a pencil, brush, or felt tip applicator?

For mascara, I honestly use one that most people don’t because I actually don’t like most of the “high-recommended” mascaras LOL. I know a lot of people like the Lash Paradise mascara, but it just didn’t do enough for me and heavily clumped my lashes since I already have long lashes. If you have shorter lashes you might like it though!

For lipsticks, I use pretty much anything on the market as long as it doesn’t bleed. I like the Too Faced Melted Matte lipsticks and most Maybelline creamy lipsticks. It really depends on if you’re going for a matte look or want something more velvety/creamy.

For eyeshadows, oh boy. I have a lot LOL. Again, it really depends on what types of eyeshadows you’re looking for. If you want neutrals, Urban Decay has some great palettes (my favorites being Naked 3 and Naked Honey). ABH has good palettes as long as you don’t buy Subculture (I own about… four or five of her palettes). Morphe makes decent shadows, but they’re not good for travel. ColourPop makes quality shadows for low-end costs! They come out with a billion palettes every week, so they have everything from neutrals to colors if you want a decently priced option (I LOVE their supershock shadows). At the low end, Milani makes some great palettes! I have always liked the five/six pan palettes that mimic the Urban Decay set-up.

If you want some color in your life, I’ve really been into some of ColourPop’s recent colorful releases. I also just bought the new Melt Cosmetics Vida and Muerte palettes and am loving them. The Jeffree Star Jawbreaker palette is a good option, but buying that really depends on whether or not you want to support him. A lot of people seem to like the ABH Alyssa Edwards palette, but I haven’t personally tried that one!

Hope this helps!

I’d recommend elf primer (they’ve got a nice selection to match ur skin) and tarte shape tape concealer. I’m really pale and my face is usually pretty red, but with this combo it evens out my skin tone and gets rid of the redness completely. for eyeshadow, I like abh, urban decay, and too faced. I also have a milani palette but I’ve found that it’s not as pigmented. essence has the best mascara imo but it really depends on your lashes. mine clump pretty easily but the essence lash princess volume mascara works wonders for me. I don’t wear eyeliner much anymore, but I’ve used elf’s liners the most and was satisfied w the results. I’d say too faced probably has the best lipgloss/lipstick. I’ve got two of the sweet peach glosses and the colors are really pretty (plus they smell amazingggg). I’d also recommend nyx’s matte lip creams. lmk if this helps at all :)

i haven’t done makeup since like 2014 lollll BUT. what i do remember is lorac pro eyeshadow is SUPER pigmented, and was my ultimate favorite. and it’s inexpensive also. like, those colors are vibant as heck. I also would get a primer for my face that was….like this

I liked it a lot for whatever reason. EDIT: why is this image huge it the size was shown as like half of that lmbo

I have really oily skin, so most the stuff I use is matt and long-wearing :)

Primer: I switch around once i run out but I usually use Nars or the Becca purple colored primer (not sure what its called at the moment). Both work really well and sometimes I just like to change it up.

Foundations: I use Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation (full coverage), IT Cosmentics CC+ Cream with SPF 50+ (light coverage), or a Nars liquid foundation (medium coverage).

Concealers: Tarte Shapetape or Dose of colors meet your hue concealer.

Mascara: Thrive cosmetics tube mascara or Better than s*x by Two Faced.

Lipsticks & Eyeshadows: I have a little bit from everywhere but I always prefer a lipstain to a lipstick because I’m lazy and don’t want to reapply that often

Also if you find that foundations are too warm for your skin, try lookig for foundations with yellow undertones instead of pink :) My skin is very olive-toned so anything that’s not a yellow undertone for me is too warm
